Nader makes helowa al-jubun, a traditional Syrian sweet in preparation for Omar's arrival the next morning. The couple will be reunited after six months of uncertainty. Since same-sex couples aren't legally allowed to marry of enter a legal partnership in either Syria, their home country, or Turkey, their temporary host, both Nader and Omar had to send their files individually to the UNHCR, hoping that they would both end up in Norway after informing of their relationship, and wishes to live together after resettlement.
