Hosing down the deck of the boat between flock collections, staff on the Neqi slaughterhouse boat in the upper Narsaq fjord, southern Greenland.

Flocks are collected annually from small scale farms in the surrounding fjord, and brought to Narsaq town, home to the country’s only slaughterhouse.

The town of Narsaq, a town in southern Greenland, and the heart of the sheep farming industry. Narsaq and the Narsaq fjord (background) have a more mild climate to other areas of Greenland, and have made it home to the country’s only slaughterhouse (NEQI), the majority of the sheep farming, and increasing agriculture, as well as Greenland’s culinary school, Inuili.
