Sled dogs tied up during the summer months in Ilulissat, western Greenland, which is home to much the country's sled dog population. The working dogs are traditionally used for ice fishing, hunting, and transport between rural and isolated settlements in northern Greenland.

As the climate in Greenland and its surrounding waters is changing, there are now more varied fish stocks, not here in previous decades. Other sea-life like shrimp have relocated further north in recent years, as waters have warmed.
